Northern_lyts will no longer be holding contests. We hoped you enjoyed our previous contests, we definetly did! But now the game is kind of old and we have responsibilities that have priority over xanga and friends we'd rather be hanging out with. We're sure you understand but since you've all been such great contestants and voters we have all the layouts submitted to our contests ready for you to look through and use on

Sorry for the unbearably long list of rules we had before. We have shortened the rules and made them easier to read but nothing has been changed.
F.A.Qs:
Can I submit more than one layout? No, only one layout per contestant
Do I have to send my layout in via e-mail? It is prefered but if you really don't feel good about it we'll let you. But please note that we won't ever send you junk mail. We just like to have your e-mail so if there is any trouble or confusion we can contact you.
Can I vote for myself? No, you can't. It wouldn't exactly be fair. You're friends can vote for you though!
Calendar
This is the format that will be used each month for all of our contests:
1st of Month: New Contest theme will be announced and we'll begin accepting submissions
15th: Contest will close at 6:00 pm ET, links to layouts will be posted and voting will begin
18th: Voting polls will close at midnight. We will begin adding up points
20th: Winners are announced and prizes are posted
21st-31st: We take a break until the first of the next month
How To Enter:
please abide by the following format of entering:
Please submit your layout via e-mail, if you are uncomfortable with this then place your entry in our guestbook. We will never abuse the knowledge of your e-mail address, though.
When Entering you must use this form:

please follow these two simple rules when entering our contest:
Don't jock: you must make the layout yourself
Do not put any sexual content in your layout: No "love" headers or people scantily dress. It is preferred that you put no people in your layouts.
What happens if you win?
First place: We'll post your button on our site and give you a prize that you can post on your site saying you won 1st Place at Northern_lyts and post you in our winners module
Second and Third: We'll make you a prize saying you won 2nd/3rd place at Northern_lyts and we'll post your links in our winners module
